Salary: R 15 000 - R 18 000 Per Month TCTC

Our client, a growing Cape Town based South African Software House developing Enterprise (nTier) Application Software, is currently looking for Software Support Analysts.

The Software Support Analyst provides front line software support to end users on various issues and problems relating to software. The Software Support Analyst also performs root cause analysis investigations and recommends procedures and controls for problem prevention.

Job Specification:
Key Roles and Responsibility
  • External support of our custom software using core Microsoft technologies
  • To assist with the support of internal applications
  • Ensuring that client systems are fully operational and any loss of service is restored in a
  • timely and efficient manner
  • Providing a high level of service to our customers and adhering to SLAs for response and
  • restoration times
  • Problem determination, workaround resolution, root cause analysis, major incident
  • management
  • Creation and distribution of knowledge and information with other team members and the
  • company

Mandatory Skills / Abilities required to do the job:
  • Basic knowledge of C#
  • SQL Experience
  • Some exposure to programming
  • Knowledge of Debugging software
  • DB Visualizer experience beneficial
  • Visual Studio experience beneficial
  • Linux experience beneficial

Job Specification
Education and General Working Experience
  • Minimum requirement is Matric with a minimum of 3 years solid work related relevant experience in the workplace in a similar role (tertiary exposure excluded). Remuneration
  • package will be tailored according to relevant technical experience.
  • Exposure to programming, using C# and SQL
  • An IT Certification beneficial
  • IT Diploma or related Degree will be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Exposure to working in an Agile development environment beneficial but not essential.
