R 65 000 Per month dependent upon experience

THE ROLE:
The Regional Store Manager will determine the operational practices of all stores in the area, making sure each runs smoothly, cleanly, complies with marketing and sales campaigns and meets budget and sales goals. The Regional Store Manager will create and maintain budgets, and coordinate with and report to senior management in the company. The Regional Store manager will oversee entire stores and the employees that work within.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
  • Ensure all round immaculate and exceptional housekeeping skills and standards.
  • Experienced in delivering Sales Budgets as per set budgets.
  • Delivery Profit Budgets as per set budgets.
  • Must achieve stock turns as per store category.
  • Be able to do monthly regional checklists per store.
  • Must be able to do applicable training per individual store requirement.
  • Must be able to fill the mentorship role and handle all people related matters.
  • A history of excellent service in Logistics is mandatory.
  • Excellent knowledge in tiling and sanitaryware retail industry will be advantageous. 
  • Recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff.
  • Managing budgets , maintaining statistical and financial records.
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints.
  • Overseeing pricing and stock control.
  • Maximising profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Preparing promotional materials and displays.
  • Liaising with head office.
  • Willing to travel extensively.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • A history of Excellent customer service in Logistics is mandatory.
  • Ability to meet goals consistently with exceptional housekeeping skills.
  • The ability to work in both a team environment and individually.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Sound Arithmetic skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Own transport with a valid drivers license.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • To keep employees motivated, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions for employees.

  • You will be working with employees, customers and management. Create schedules, order supplies and write reports. Time management is essential to make sure everything gets done.
Math and Budgeting:
  • Store managers are expected to keep and maintain a budget in almost every field. You will need to be confident in using math skills to make sure you know where your company's money is going.
Analytical Skills:
  • You will be in charge of hiring new employees and being a good judge of character will help ensure that you hire the right people to maintain an efficient and motivated team. You will also need analytical skills to be able to solve problems that may come up during a typical work day.
Decision-Making Skills:
  • Whether it is dealing with employees, customers, management or vendors, you will have to make decisions that affect the company. Having the ability to make hard and fast decisions is crucial to your success.
Speaking and Writing:
  • Store managers do a lot of communicating. This might be one-on-one to a customer, in front of a group of employees, or in a meeting with management. Must be able to be called upon to write reports, recommendations, or reasons for termination. Great verbal communications and writing skills will help you in any of these scenarios.
Customer Service Skills:
  • Customers are going to ask to speak to the manager. The ability to interact with customers is crucial for repeat business, employee morale and the health of the company. Great customer service skills are required to solve issues before they become problems, and help create customer loyalty

QUALIFICATONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum: Diploma Retail Management or equivalent.
  • Preferred: BCom Retail Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Regional Store Management Role.
  • Management courses completed will be advantageous.
  • Stamina and exceptional drive.
  • Commitment, loyalty and willing to go the extra mile.
WORKING HOURS:
  • Standard retail hours.
  • Working additional hours as and when required by management.
