Produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates the company’s value proposition. This is a networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.

Core Responsibilities:

Write, re-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, finance, commercial, legal and business/operations.

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing a proposal structure
  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant
  • Assimilate information extracted from subject matter experts (SMEs) and re-write it into a defined style, ensuing that it is clearly articulated and easy to integrate into proposals
  • Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Proposal Manager against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as required

Experience / Skill set:
Proven skills in producing and editing proposal content within a complex business environment. The proposal writer will be experienced in leading story-boarding sessions, participating in key review meetings / final document review, content sign off and document production. Experience of coordinating and updating a knowledge-base system is beneficial.

  • Strong written English language skills
  • Journalistic / professional writing background.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to coach sales teams and subject matter experts in writing best practice
  • Provide advice on flow, language and grammar to content owners
  • Present all new proposal content to the knowledgebase manager for potential re-use
  • Communicate and influence at a senior level
  • Strong time management / prioritisation skills


  • Degree or Diploma in a copywriting / business writing discipline
  • Strong PC skills: Microsoft Office Suite (with MS Word emphasis)
  • Certified to APMP Foundation or Practitioner Level.
