Well, this is the chance for a Managing Director to oversee the complete running of Group, South Africa and to lead, manage, integrate and grow the business. The MD-SA will also be accountable for ensuring that the business is guided at a strategic level, meets its primary objectives and that it is geared for growth within SA. Reports into the Group CEO.
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Driving succession planning and retention of the key leadership team
  • Ensuring a clear way forward, keeping culture alive in the business
  • Ensuring that the business is continually growing and developing leaders aggressively at all levels in the business
  • Providing leadership direction, mentoring and coordination of the Group Exco
  • Ensuring the long-term sustained health and success of the business through strategy implementation
  • Ensuring departmental strategic alignment
  • Responsible for the profit and loss of the Business and accountable to the Group CEO and Board of directors on achieving the agreed net profit/growth targets
  • Ensuring strong relationships with the Board of directors and key strategic partners in the spirit of win-win
  • Building industry wide networks with professional bodies, associations and peers to influence decision making processes in favour of the business


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Insurance/Financial Services background
