HR Generalist
Location:  Sandton
Salary:  Market related dependent upon experience + Medical Aid + Pension

Responsibilities:

  • Strong industrial relation skills

  • Assist management with disciplinary procedures, documentation, disciplinary hearings and represent the company at the CCMA

  • EE Reporting

  • Develop Training and Development plans.

  • Complete company Workplace Skills Plan and ATR

  • Performance Management and KPI’s

  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies

  • Induction and Orientation of new staff

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends

  • Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation etc. and resolve issues and problems

  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form

  • Consult and advise line managers on appropriate HR solutions

  • Support line managers in the application of the recommended solutions

Requirements:

  • Qualification in HR (Hons an advantage)

  • 5 years experience

  • Excellent knowledge of employment/labour laws

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Previous experience in the role of Human Resources Generalist or a very similar position and be able to demonstrate your complete understanding of the position.

  • Well organised and methodical in your approach to problem solving and be able to manage filing/database system.

  • Strong Conflict Management Skills

  • Ability to work under pressure
