Sales & Export Operations Executive
Location:  Gauteng
Salary:  Highly market related, dependent upon education, knowledge, experience and skill set .  50% Contribution to Medical Aid ● Pension/Provident ● Incentive ● 13th Cheque

My client has an excellent opportunity for a Sales & Export Operations Executive.

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
  • Excellent Export Knowledge (INCO) etc.
  • Must have solid sales management experience including commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Must have management experience and be able to train and lead a strong export team.
  • Must be a true “go-getter”, vivacious, robust and hungry for success.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or FMCG industry would be advantageous.
Scope:

  • To manage, train, and develop the Export team in order to achieve efficiency, profitability, productivity, quality output, uniformity of performance in line with Company Policy and Procedure.
  • The incumbent will be required to manage several reg and will be required to travel locally between factories and internationally (Africa) as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To promote and enhance customer relationships locally within the group and internationally.
  • To establish and oversee the support structure for Export Countries in order to strengthen the department and create depth.
  • To partner with the Agents/Representatives in a supporting role and provide direction with regards to customer visits.
  • Create shipments and loads and inform the relevant Agents/Assistants and customers to improve customer experience
  • Understand and react to market dynamics, as well as being proactive with implementing key account plans
  • Understand the terms and conditions of exports, as well as INCO terms, policies, and procedures for the various expo markets.
  • Retrieve and provide available stock sheet reports to all our Factories and distribute to relevant Agents/Representative and customers.
  • Extract backorder reports and manage portfolio distribution so that stock is allocated to open orders in line with various products.
  • Manage and communicate production plans to customers as and when necessary.
  • Ensure that orders / tonnage are maximized to make up shipment.
  • Ensure that customer complaints are addressed and dealt with efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that new products are marketed to customers.
  • Assist with documents, samples, and marketing materials to be sent to customers.
  • Liaise with factory and customer if and when special production requirements are necessary.
  • Ensure that all relevant documents are processed for export.
  • Assist with following up on outstanding payments due by customers.

Minimum Qualification and Experience
  • Degree in Marketing or Sales (Minimum), or relevant field..
  • Practical experience in a similar position.
  • Good understanding of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge about budget management, international trade, and taxations.
  • SAP experience and knowledge essential.
  • Export experience, knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to compile monthly reports and presentations.
  • MS Office experience essential.
