A position has become available for a Client Manager within the Insurance Industry. The Client Manager executive will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a fully integrated marketing strategy that contributes to the growth and profitability of the organisation. The role’s main objective is to help continuously build, strengthen and evaluate the organisations position in the marketplace. This will include the interaction with clients on new areas of innovation and consulting services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify markets and acquire clients and brokers targets for traditional as well as innovative risk transfer mechanisms to create value for the organisation
Developing our business by binding new transactions with new and existing clients.
Assess and interpret the results of analyses (support by Business/Financial Analyst) due to extensive knowledge of the market/clients, and derive, evaluate, scrutinise and ultimately either pursue or abandon hypotheses on potential new business.
Knows and understands the financial effects of various RI solutions on account and the client's financial situation; knows where expert know-how regarding these topics is obtainable within the Company.
Inspire and lead others to deliver value by motivating them to create client needs’-based reinsurance solutions.
Develop, define and implement the strategies, objectives and business plan to fulfil agreed financial targets within the general operating guidelines for your clients.
Develop and realise market/ client-specific approaches in cross-departmental teams; strengthen company value proposition through differentiation, innovation, services rendered together with various units (i.e. Global Consulting, Cyber, Innovation).
Actively drive profitable business growth with market teams; conduct negotiations with clients;
originate tailor-made solutions and engage in co-creation with clients.
Establish best practices for CRM-driven interaction between outside client, sales/underwriting teams, innovation and consulting.
Partner closely with Executive Leadership, Sales/Underwriting, Innovation, Consulting, Communications and other key stakeholders to ensure 360-degree alignment.
Offer actuarial / big data / motor consultancy advice and expertise to improve business performance in terms of profitability, operations, data analytics, capital management and digital strategy in close cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Advanced university (or other business) degree and professional designation with at least 5 years of hands-on, in-depth Non-Life (re-) insurance experience.
High degree of client orientation.
Has profound knowledge/experience in the methods of project management and leading project teams and knows how to apply them. Can hence also take over interdivisional projects, including several VBM responsibilities.
Strategic thinking, creativity and strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to present and provide insightful analysis up to and including the C Suite of multinational companies and governmental entities.
Knows and understands the company products and services ("Service & Solution Landscape") and all contacts within the company group that are important to him/her.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Lateral leadership abilities, with experience in developing a teamwork environment and a positive work environment and attitude in direct reports.
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skill.
Strong business acumen with ability to embrace what drives customer behaviour and decisions through analysis and decision-making based on both qualitative and quantitative data.
