To actively manage and execute the control and billing function related to National Roaming for other carriers and ensure accuracy and timeliness of the billings.

Billings Management:
  • Ensure accurate billings are issued monthly for other local network carriers in order to generate accurate revenue and reduce the risk of queries that result in credits
  • Ensure that billings are allocated to the correct General Ledger (GL) account and will reflect as revenue for the correct revenue stream within the Company
  • Engage and receive the volumes from the Networks department for billings, ensuring a good understanding of how network usage is captured and billed to the clients
  • Critically review the data received for billings and query any unusual volumes that could result in over or under billing
  • Review billings before submission to the client to ensure that volumes and pricing are in accordance with the contract
  • Maintain an understanding of the financial implications that inaccurate billings can have on the customers of the other local network carriers
  • Update roaming information from all existing roaming partners on the internal network
  • Function as the first point of contact for any client billing issues and investigate any queries put forward by the client
  • Keep up-to-date on industry developments that may have future impact on billings for local roaming
  • Analyse the increase or decrease in network volumes usage to identify trends
  • Implement systems and processes to monitor billing data, ensuring all data has been collected and processed via the wholesale billing system
You will also be responsible for:
  • Tactical Implementation

  • Escalations and Tactical Meetings.
Education /Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 year tertiary degree Commerce or related
  • Postgraduate qualification advantageous
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a billings environment
  • Sound Telecommunications commercial knowledge and experience
  • Experience working in a medium to large organisation
