Bid Coordinator Location: Rosebank (Gauteng) Salary: R 20 000 - R 30 000 (Including 50% Medical aid and provident fund) + 2 Performance based bonuses
Purpose of the Position:
The key purpose of the position is to work closely with the sales department to establish consistency and provide administrative support during the proposal and presentation development process
They will also prepare the proposal work plan, manage assignments and collect and organize proposal content.
Essentially, they are responsible for producing cohesive, well-organised proposals and presentations that are focused and responsive to the customer-defined (internal and external customers) requirements.
You will be reporting directly to the Bid Manager and be responsible for:
Reading and understanding briefs thoroughly to identify problem areas
Preparation and finalization of layouts for submissions
Adherence to Bid Centre workflow schedule
Assist the sales teams to deliver new business and targets through effective tendering and bidding across all sectors
Assist with the production and submission of creative yet compliant bids and (re)tenders that clearly state and sell defined product models and business solutions
Maintain a library of current & accurate corporate information for inclusion in bids and (re)tenders
Gather and maintain supporting information for inclusion in bids and (re)tenders to evidence experience, effectiveness and capabilities
Good attention to detail; maintaining high standards for delivery, quality & accuracy
Preparation, formatting of proposals, agreements, and presentations when necessary
Research and prepare capability content where appropriate
To obtain and co-ordinate all resources as necessary to respond to the opportunity
Act as a point of contact for BDMs
To understand company's offerings, comply with company's processes and in adherence to current company's corporate governance
Ability to plan ahead and be aware of all the different factors which need to be brought together (including timescales, stakeholders, the bid team and the collation of content).
5 years administration experience
2-3 years’ experience in a bid/tender/sales environment
